RECENT ART WORK
My aspiration is to establish hope and vitality, to lift our human spirit, and to see light where there is darkness. I do encounter a brief moment of tranquility and harmony, from chaos to order. In the theme of seasons, I paint in vibrant colors with many layers arising, eventually emerging as our natural environment, blossoming flowers, green hues of nature, and visions of the cosmos connected in our space and time. As an individual, I am to confront my shadow, and strive to incorporate it in my life and art. Alas, I’m content, and find peace, and discover spiritual meaning within the array of colors, nature’s imagery, and movement in my art work. Lao Tzu said, “The higher the sunrises, the less shadow it cast.” We are resurrected in light, casting darkness away.
METHOD
I sometimes use Chinese ink and always use acrylic paint for my artwork. Some pieces are put away for up to a year, others a few months, then bring them out, observe and execute.
